Many guests remarked the staff was very friendly, accommodating and able to offer assistance with travel arrangements and transportation. While the rooms are clean and modern some felt they were a bit small and suggest upgrading to a larger room if space is a must.  Some visitors suggest the topmost rooms have a slanted roof which can make the room feel even smaller. The Grande Hôtel Français is noted for having a great breakfast which is well worth taking the time to start the day off right. The hotel is located close to two Metro stations and fine restaurants. If you want to be closer to the central part of Paris you may want to look closer in as it is approximately a 15-20 minute trip to most attractions.

The staff at the Astotel are noted as being warm and friendly greeting guests with a cup of tea or coffee. Additionally they are more than willing to assist with navigating the local area. The rooms are clean and comfortable but as with many expectation of size can be an issue if you are used to large accommodations. Guests enjoyed the breakfast menu and commented how pleasant staff are. There are several restaurants nearby that make for ease of finding meals when you do not feel like venturing out too far.

Staff are noted as being friendly and helpful to guests needing directions and tips. There are many high quality places to eat close by, especially FL, Cafe Constant, La Terrasse, and Au Bon Accuiel. The location is surrounded by little shops, market and cafés, making it easy to find what you need. Typically rooms on the lower level do not offer much of a view which can be disappointing to some.
